The Communications Working Group works to achieve the following Goal and objectives as outlined in the OHHN 2008 Strategic Plan.
GOAL A:
To develop the Ontario Heart Health Network as a progressive, strategic network of partner organizations and volunteers involved in the OHHP-Taking Action for Healthy Living
Objectives:
A 2 Improve internal communication between the OHHN Executive, working groups, regional networks and the membership.
A 3 Enhance the connectivity, synergy and mutual support amongst coordinators and community partners across the province
A 4 Ensure that new coordinators receive support and mentoring enabling them to do their job.

Key Activities
New Coordinators Supports: The Communications Working Group and the Heart Heart Resource Center work collaboratively to support New OHHP-Taking Action for Healthy Living Coordinators. Vist the New Coordinators Corner on the Heart Health Resource Center website for fresh and exciting tools and supports to help new coordinators get settled into the position.
Website: The Ontario Heart Health Network website went live in June 2007, and provides an efficient way to share information and get feedback from the Community Partnerships.
